Dorrigo is a beautiful rural town located on the eastern edge of the spectacular New England plateau. The high school is a vibrant part of the community and draws from the township itself, surrounding farmlands and small villages such as Dundurrabin, Hernani and Ebor.
Dorrigo High School has a fine tradition of serving its community and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2006. The school has a well established reputation for sporting achievement and was a diamond achiever in the Premier's Sporting Challenge in 2008. Students are offered a wide range of cultural, sporting and academic activities and excel in areas such as debating, rugby union, soccer and canoeing to name a few.In 2006, our Tournament of Minds team gained second place nationally, which was an amazing achievement for a small rural school.
The local community is extremely proud and supportive of us and this contributes to the positive culture that is evident to all who attend and visit the school.
New innovations such as an extension to our high quality technology facilities with an interactive whiteboard program in place, and new curriculum activities, such as Connected Learning are underway and we look forward to continued growth of the school.
